You're invited to our Birthday Bash!
After two years we can finally celebrate another year of success but this time we open the doors and invite EVERYONE to join us!
From open to close we have lots of extra events going on to make the day fun for everyone.
- Find independent crafters & artists who share the same geeky love we have but create their own special unique items – head up to our mezzanine level to see what’s on offer and meet them! Here’s an idea of what you can find but is not limited to this list:
- Silver & Bronze Age Comics
- Custom designed and hand made glassware
- Local artists who represent multiple comic-cons and Topps Cards as well – their work is awe-inspiring, neither are to be missed!
- Bespoke miniatures scenery
- We are hosting our first Sin City Comics & Gaming Cosplay Competition! To participate and be in with a chance of winning some very sought-after gift vouchers for the store click here. Everyone is welcome to spectate as well and will be hosted on the mezzanine level.
- Throughout the month of May we will be hosting Trading Card Game Leagues – one price, one tournament per week but this time the prizing has been mega boosted! Watch this space for more details!
- We will also have a few limited edition SCCG 7th Birthday Bash mugs for sale – made especially for this event by Transparent Treasures (link to her facebook page)
COSPLAY – SCCG BIRTHDAY BASH – SATURDAY 30th APRIL 2022
As part of our 7th Birthday Bash we are hosting a Cosplay Competition! Here’s how it works and the sign up form is just below!
- All ages and cosplay themes are welcome – there will be no categories, this is one competition for everyone!
- Winners will receive an SCCG gift voucher which will be for the top 3:
- 1st > £30
- 2nd > £20
- 3rd > £10
- It is free to enter just sign up below!
- Judges are SCCG team with final call from the owner
- Participants must sign up in advance and will close on 27th April 2022
- Each participant will take a walk around the 2nd floor to show off their cosplay – more information on times will follow shortly via our social media channels and via email to those who sign up
SCCG Cosplay Rules
Just a few things to bear in mind please when attending – these are standard convention rules for cosplay.
- All helmets/headwear must be removable
- Any costume weapons must not be solid such as plastic/metal. Any material that can break skin if used on someone. Most weaponry is often Styrofoam etc.
- Imitation Firearms must have orange tips and be clear they are NOT real. We reserve the right to confiscate for the safety of the public should the precautions in place not be as required.
